About Us

Our names are Ali Khan and Addison Feldman. We are sophomores in high school in New York City who see firsthand how unequal access to school supplies affects students in our own communities. As students ourselves, we witness every day how having the right tools can shape a student’s confidence, participation, and overall performance.

What began as conversations between friends quickly turned into a shared passion for creating change. We realized that something as simple as a notebook or backpack—often taken for granted—can be a major barrier for many students. That realization pushed us to take action.

Our Mission

Items For Impact is a student-led initiative dedicated to creating a more equitable educational experience for children in our community. We believe education is one of the most powerful tools for shaping a child’s future.

Our mission is to raise an initial $3,000—which will allow us to fund school supplies—and continue setting new fundraising goals beyond that to expand our impact. Every dollar raised helps us move closer to an education system where opportunity is not determined by circumstance.

Through community support and student-driven action, Items For Impact works to ensure access to the tools necessary for academic success. Investments in students today holds promise that future generations will create a brighter tomorrow.
